| What is everyone rocking these days in terms of your gaming headset?
I got myself the Turtle Beach X12's not sure if I'd care about it and I actually like it. The only thing I don't like is that the damn mic is SO sensitive that the mic pics up the TV even at the lowest setting and my kids playing in 3 rooms down can be heard if I have room door open.
I don't have Triton's but always wondered if I should have gotten those that might have a less sensitive mic.

| Iv got some Turtle beach X41. They are bit on the pricey side but if your not hard on your gaming gear then why not spend a little more money of something you dont have to replace cause you rages and broke it | |

| I actually have a steel series headset that I used for playing counter strike on the pc. It doesn't work with xbox, but I just ordered an adapter for it and it should be in today. Before today I have just been outputting the tv to a 1990's Sony stereo with big 3 ft floor speakers. Explosions can be felt lol | |

| I've got X11's. For anyone who rocks more expensive stuff, i.e. Astros, Tritons, etc. Tell me the benefits from them, seriously... Lol. | |

| No headset here. 5.1 Surround sound system with my bass amp acting as a sub.
3d sound at it's finest.

| I have X12s, and I know exactly what you're talking about BooBee. Were any of you guys running that Op with me where everyone thought there was a dog in my house when it was actually across the street? | |

That's funny! One time I was playing I had a runny nose and couldn't help but sniffle without having to run to bathroom in mid-game and one of the fellas thought I was "squeezing" one out. LMAO!! I had complained to Turtle Beach and they said the majority of gamers wanted a more sensitive mic so that they were not screaming to talk. I think they over did it. I can tell if background noise is being picked up too much in "game chat" but in private group chat I can't tell because in the game the "mic" icon doesn't appear in the top left hand corner as it does in game chat so it's hard to tell my mic is giving feedback (I can't tell sound is being transmitted from my mic).

| I use Turtle Beach x11's, it's my boyfriends (Vengeance iLy) because he bought a pair of Tritton AX720's -- let me tell you, I've used his Trittons and they are SO much better sound quality than the turtle's, but they're a pain in the butt sometimes because like previously mentioned, turtle beaches are sensitive, but the Tritton's are not, so sometimes I find that he's talking too loud because his mic isn't picking him up. I like the turtle beaches in that aspect, definitely don't need to scream into my microphone. Obviously with more money, you're going to get a better product. He's looking into some Astros, but won't happen for awhile | |
